Hey! Can we just please keep it simple?
I’m a minimalist, optimizing kind of guy, so the simpler it is, the better, especially if it combines more and more benefits at the same time!
At the same time, keep it easy, okay?
Why make things harder than they are? We are both working on losing more weight, and we want to take that path of least resistance so we don’t quit.
Even so, I don’t want to suffer and deprive myself of good things, instead feeling like I’m starving, and have to settle for eating foods I barely want. Do you?
No way! And why not?
Epiphany alert: Because we don’t get any extra ‘points’ for all that suffering!
Sure, there are times when I want to take on a more serious goal in my kettlebell training, but I’m not seeking the hardest road to take to get to that goal.
To keep it simple and easy, I think about how to find that ‘easy’ within the challenging path, and I read a LOT to do it.
That’s why I’m glad you’re with me in this, because I’m going to do a lot of the heaving lifting for you.
No, I won’t be standing there swinging your kettlebell for you, nor can I stand there and coach you on every bite of food, but I will be swinging for the most optimized, efficient, minimalist path for us to take to knock off that goal, and do it well.
I follow a number of kettlebell websites, and I also read a LOT with my wife on healthy eating (often referred to as ‘clean’ eating), all while I personally test the best practices to learn the best approach (read: the minimalist approach that really works!)
You’re in this with me for the long haul, so don’t make it complicated – stay with what you already learned from my book, keep moving ahead, and keep checking in for my latest help to keep us all on track with our Healthy Start.
